The Threshold

The Moon’s light peaks at 03° 37′ in Aries—the cardinal masculine fire sign of Mars. Aries is symbolically the beginning of the zodiac, the beginning of spring, when daylight finally outstrips the darkness. It is a youthful sign: pioneering, action-oriented, courageous. It represents the individuation of the soul in its new physical incarnation—a separating entity, emerging from the mother’s womb. Its cardinal nature is the energy of beginnings.

This Full Moon culminates the impulse for independence that was seeded at the Aries New Moon in April. But that impulse is now being tested. The question at the heart of this lunation is simple and immense: Who are you becoming? And are you brave enough to stand in that truth—alone if necessary, but not without regard for those you love?

.

The Seed and Its Fruit

This Full Moon brings to culmination the seeds planted at the Aries New Moon of April 17—a powerful, inceptional time when Mars’ naked will asserted his authentic impulse for independence, cutting through illusion and seeding a new direction. It was the birth of something new that struggled to emerge through unyielding matter. Now it declares its undeniable form and existence.

.

The Fog and the Compass

The Moon sits conjunct Neptune, travelling retrograde through Aries. A fog settles over her light—a dissolution of clarity, a sense of being awash in boundary-less waters. She may lose her sense of direction, and become acutely sensitive. And illusions may throw her off course—or steer her toward martyrdom.

And yet, Neptune’s presence also opens a door to the transcendent. With Mars in the role of protector, the Moon may express herself through Neptune’s spiritual nature—a connection to the collective, a voice for the vulnerable or displaced. The mystic, rather than the warrior. This is also a wonderful time for fusing with the creative muse, for being in the creative flow of source, for connecting to the sublime beauty of art or music.

But Neptune is not alone in Aries. Saturn, too, travels retrograde through the sign—offering a very different kind of gift. Where Neptune dissolves boundaries, Saturn defines them. Where Neptune invites surrender, Saturn asks for responsibility. Where Neptune offers transcendence, Saturn offers structure. Together, they ask a crucial question: Can you be realistic about who you are? Can you accept the responsibilities that come with your independence—and reject the ones that are not yours to carry? Can you assert your authority with patience and wisdom?

Saturn rewards the authentic self. Neptune dissolves the false one.

.

The Pressure and the Pull

Mars, ruler of this Full Moon, is situated in Cancer—the sign of his fall. Here, Mars is challenged to express his usual traits of assertion and conflict through the nurturing, sensitive, domestic waters of the Moon. Mars is hot, dry, and fiery; in Cancer, the lunar waters quench his fire, challenging his ability to act directly. This can leave him defensive, passive-aggressive, or overreactive—and in Cancer, especially at 29 degrees, the anaretic degree, this intensity is heightened. There is urgency here: a drive to act, to resolve, before he crosses into Leo. Stress may peak now. Pressure may build.

And there is a shadow worth naming: when the God of War moves through the Moon’s feminine sign of family and women, his fire can turn inward and destructive—toward the home, toward those he is meant to protect. This is Mars at his most unhealed. But at his noblest, he is the defender of the vulnerable: the guardian of home and loved ones, the protector of women and children, the one who stands between danger and those who cannot stand alone.

A whole sign square to Mars creates tension—yet the Full Moon and Mars share a special connection. Mars is in the sign of the Moon, and the Moon is in the sign of Mars—in mutual reception. This allows them to collaborate, to provide significant structural support to each other. The tension of their square is softened through their ability to negotiate and empathise. The Moon is provided with a fiery drive to assert; Mars is granted the ability to set boundaries and express his vulnerability directly.

The connection to family, loved ones, and emotional security is strong at this time, and yet Aries reminds us that the gift of belonging should not ask us to abandon our authentic selves—neither by leaving the world behind, nor by surrendering ourselves to it.

.

The Return and the Review

Chiron, the Wounded Healer, has slipped back into Aries and sits at 29 degrees—an intense revisitation of wounds around sovereignty, independence,, and empowerment. Square to Mars in Cancer, these wounds fall within the backdrop of difficult family dynamics, buried grievances, or maternal wounds.

His myth speaks directly to this moment. Chiron was born of Saturn and the nymph Philyra—a union interrupted, a child abandoned by his mother. He was raised by Apollo and Artemis, taught every art and science, and became the teacher of heroes. Yet he could not heal himself. Wounded by a poisoned arrow, he lived in constant pain until he chose to surrender his immortality—transforming his wound into a gift for another.

The Mars-Moon thread runs through his story: the arrow (Mars) and the abandoned child (Moon). The wound that never healed. The cave where he built a sanctuary around his own suffering.

And so we must ask: where have we been wounded by family? Where has the mother’s rejection, or the father’s absence, shaped how we protect ourselves? With Chiron retrograde, we look within. Do we back ourselves—stand in our own authority and emotional security? Or do we retreat into the shell, becoming overly defensive, armoured against a threat that may no longer exist?

Like the crab of Cancer, where have we side-stepped direct confrontation? How have we suppressed anger or desire in order to keep the peace? And like Chiron, can we transform the wound—not by denying it, but by building something meaningful around it?

Chiron at the anaretic degree of Aries is a return—a coming back to the sign of the self, to review and redefine who we are. It is an invitation.

.

The Other Side of the Sky

Across the zodiac, the Sun sits in Libra—the sign of the other, of partnership, of balance. This is the axis of the Full Moon: Aries and Libra, self and other, independence and interdependence. The Sun in Libra reminds us that individuation does not mean standing apart from the world. It means standing in the world as a whole person—capable of relationship without losing oneself, capable of independence without isolation.

The question is not “self or other?” The question is “how do I become fully myself, and still love?”

.

The Allies in the Dark

Fortunately, support arrives from an unexpected quarter: a sextile to both Pluto, retrograde in Aquarius, and Uranus, retrograde in Gemini—who are trine to each other, forming a mini grand trine. Pluto and Uranus are supportive of each other, creating an easy flow of ideas and information: Uranus, searching for authenticity and truth; Pluto, acting as excavator and liberator of hidden, intense energies that require purging.

Pluto empowers the Full Moon to express herself free from conditioning, with deep psychological empowerment. Uranus provides her liberating flashes of insight and awakening—gifts she shares with Mars, enabling him to cut threads of unhealthy ancestral karma or conditioning. Both retrograde, Pluto and Uranus demand an internal review of deep psychological truth and authenticity that liberates.

This is the deeper work of individuation: not just becoming who you are, but releasing who you are not.

.

The Decan: Claiming Territory

It is fitting, then, that the Full Moon culminates in the first decan of Aries. Austin Coppock refers to this decan as The Axe, in 36 Faces—a reference to ancient imagery of a fearsome, large man armed with an axe. It speaks to Mars’ inherent drive to split and sever, and to Aries’ symbolism as the first of the zodiac: beginnings, individuation, pioneering, and claiming territory.

It is represented by the Two of Wands in the Tarot—Lord of Dominion—encouraging us to leave the comfort of the fort, to cut the cords of stagnation, and to boldly explore the unknown.

The Axe is not only a weapon. It is a tool for clearing. It cuts away what is dead, what is false, what no longer belongs to the self you are becoming. The question this decan asks is not “what kind of warrior are you?” but “what kind of self are you claiming?”

.

The Descent Begins

Venus moves very slowly now as she prepares to station retrograde on October 2—the beginning of her transformative 40-day cycle. Linked to the ancient Sumerian myth of Inanna’s descent into the underworld, it marks a time of inward review: releasing old identities, romantic ideals, values, or unhealthy attachments.

This is the first act of a sacred three-part journey. Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio—the sign of her detriment, where she must express herself in the fixed, feminine, watery domain of Mars. Here, unlike her own temple of Libra, Venus cannot rely on easy charm, harmony, and diplomacy. There is no room for superficiality in matters of relationship, love, and self-worth. In Scorpio, she is forced to acknowledge deeper, more raw emotions and desires. This may result in her being overly reactive or defensive within relational themes around secrets, control, vulnerability, and trust. In matters of self-esteem, she will be challenged toward radical self-honesty and deep self-acceptance.

She will continue her retrograde through Scorpio until October 26, when she slips back into Libra—retracing her steps through the sign of her own temple, reviewing the relationships, values, and agreements that were forged there. But that is the next chapter, to be explored in future musings.

.

The Invitation

This is only the beginning. Venus’ descent mirrors the work of this Full Moon: the confrontation with what is unhealed, the release of what is no longer true, and the slow, sacred labour of becoming whole.

The question remains: Who are you becoming? Can you stand in your own authority—with Saturn’s patience, Neptune’s compassion, and Mars’ courage? Can you be fully yourself, and still love? Can you claim your territory, and still remain open to the other?

To thine own self be true.

The fog will clear. The pressure will ease. And what remains will be you—truer, freer, and more whole.

.

Aries

The Helm

The Full Moon falls into your first house in Aries—traditionally known as The Helm, the place from which you steer the direction of your life. It represents your life force, your mind, and your identity. This is the house of the self, and it is here that the Full Moon now casts her light.

The Seed and Its Fruit

Think back to the Aries New Moon in mid-April—to what was seeded then, and to the karma that now comes to fruition. As the borrowed light of the Moon peaks, something within you reaches culmination: a new internal reality that now comes into conscious manifestation. What was hidden is revealed. What was potential becomes form.

The Final Degree

Mars, your ruler and the ruler of this Full Moon, sits in the critical final degree of Cancer, in your fourth house. He brings a last, final focus on matters related to family, home, parents, and your private foundations—emotional truths around ancestral karma, family patterns, and your place at the end of a long line of inheritance.

Fog and Structure

Neptune, retrograde, sits conjunct the Full Moon, and you may become aware of illusions or confusion around these themes. But Saturn is close by, offering a very different gift: a review of inner boundaries, psychological obstacles, and how you have seen yourself. A new reality now emerges.

Support from the Depths

Both Pluto, retrograde in Aquarius, and Uranus, retrograde in Gemini, are sextile to the Moon. Together, they give you the raw honesty, the power of focus, and the progressive rebelliousness to put previously confusing aspects into place—to liberate your authentic self, and to create a cohesive picture of who you are and who you are becoming.

The Wound and the Wisdom

Chiron, too, is copresent in your first house, having dipped back into the final degree of Aries. He offers a final reminder of the wounds you carry around your sense of self, identity, or purpose—wounds that now allow you to move forward with greater wholeness and integrity. You feel supported by your social network, by true friends who accept you for who you are and how you are growing. And your mind is energised and restless, seeking new progressive ideas and new ways to communicate them.

The Balance of Self and Other

And yet, as your sense of identity shifts and grows, you will need to balance your committed partnerships—attempting to find diplomacy and balance in your relational space and your deepest bonds. The self is expanding. The question is how to hold that expansion without losing the other.

.

Taurus

The Hidden Chamber

The Full Moon falls into your twelfth house in Aries—the hidden chamber of the psyche, the realm of dreams, sorrows, and the patterns that quietly undo us. Here, the Moon’s reflected light illuminates what has been kept in shadow, and you become aware of emotional truths rising from the deep.

The Invitation to Reclaim

In Aries, these truths concern your identity—your sense of self. This is an invitation to embrace the aspects of yourself you have disowned or denied. With Mars, ruler of the Moon, travelling through the final degree of Cancer, you are asked to look at the ancestral or maternal karma that may still be holding you back. It is a time for solitude and retreat—to identify the negative self-talk, the fears around your worth or safety, that still operate from the unconscious.

Saturn at the Threshold

Saturn, Ruler of the Threshold, finds his joy in the twelfth house. He travels retrograde with the Moon, offering the structure and wisdom you need to look beyond the usual limits of consciousness. Neptune, also retrograde, is conjunct this Full Moon—dissolving the boundaries between worlds, between the known and the unknown.

The Quiet Scaffold

Pluto, retrograde in your tenth house in Aquarius, and Uranus, retrograde in Gemini, form a supportive pattern with the Moon. Both sextile to her, they create a quiet scaffold around your public self, your self-worth, and your financial independence. They demand radical self-honesty—and they offer depth, and an electrical nimbleness, to your thoughts and your processing.

The Scar That Becomes Strength

And finally, Chiron, the Wounded Healer, has dipped back into the final degree of Aries to join the Full Moon. He asks you to walk forward with the familial wounds you carry—the ones that will not heal. To hold them consciously. To grow around them. To let the scar tissue become part of your strength. And to use this wisdom to create, to share, and to heal others.

.

Gemini

The Social Culmination

The Full Moon falls into your eleventh house in Aries—the place of friends, allies, and aspirations. Look back to the New Moon in Aries in mid-April, for the seeds of what now blooms.

What Comes to Light

As the borrowed light of the Moon peaks, something reaches culmination in your social world: your place within your network, your independence or leadership within groups. Previously hidden emotional truths now come to light. A group project or social situation may come to an end. Or perhaps you have a deep personal realisation about a long-held goal—what it means, why you wanted it, and whether it still belongs to you.

The Old Stories of Worth

Mars, your ruler, sits in your second house at the critical final degree of Cancer. The intensity of this eleventh-house culmination reaches into your finances, your values, your emotional security, and your ability to look after yourself materially. There may be threads of family karma or early childhood experience woven into these lunar illuminations—old stories about what you are worth, and what you are allowed to want.

Insight and Awakening

Pluto, retrograde in Aquarius, and Uranus, retrograde in your first house, are sextile to the Full Moon—offering structural and intellectual support. Pluto speaks to a deep acknowledgement of your beliefs and philosophy: what you truly stand for. Uranus speaks to personal liberation through authenticity—progressive ideas, sudden insights, and the freedom to be more fully yourself.

The Wound of Belonging

Chiron, retrograde, has slipped back into the final degrees of your eleventh house, joining the Full Moon. This is a return—a chance to revisit and integrate a wound around your identity within groups, your ambitions, your goals, your ability to lead and manifest alongside others.

Ruled by Mars in Cancer, Chiron asks what wounds around home, family, belonging, and emotional safety you carry—wounds that may make you feel unworthy, or hold you back from striving toward what you want. There is still time to work with this. Chiron remains in Aries until April 2027, giving this story room to unfold.

The Axis of Joy and Belonging

And across the sky, the Sun opposes the Full Moon from your fifth house—the place of authentic expression, creativity, children, romance, and joy. Here lies the source of the Moon’s epiphanies. The tension between these two houses asks you to balance what you create for yourself with what you offer to the group. In Libra, the Sun draws your attention to harmony in your art, your loves, and your children—a gentle reminder that joy is not separate from your purpose. Share it.

The Bridge of Your Voice

Mercury, your ruler, is copresent with the Sun—and ruled by Venus in Scorpio. Your words carry both Libran grace and Scorpionic depth. You are asked to convey your deepest relational truths to those nearest and dearest, and through what you create in the world. Your voice is the bridge between who you are in private and what you offer in public. Speak it.

.

Cancer

The Public Culmination

The Full Moon falls into your tenth house in Aries—your professional and public sphere. Look back to the Aries New Moon in mid-April, for the seeds of what now blooms.

Fog and Opportunity

As the borrowed light of the Moon peaks, something reaches culmination in matters related to your career and social standing. Conjunct retrograde Neptune, this may bring illusions or fog to your public persona—perhaps around professional relationships, or women in authority in your workplace. But Saturn is copresent with the Moon, asking you to look within. To review your personal boundaries. To see obstacles and difficulties not as failures, but as opportunities to grow, to develop wisdom, and to build inner strength.

The Final Degree of Cancer

Mars, ruler of this Full Moon, travels through the final degree of Cancer in your first house. Your emotional security may feel threatened. You may feel defensive of your vulnerability, protective of what is tender. Try to express this directly—head on—rather than passively or over-reactively. Consider whether early childhood conditioning is playing a part in the emotions or situation that now culminates. As a sign ruled by the Moon, Full Moons—especially those falling in a foundational, angular house—are felt acutely and personally.

The Wound of Leadership

Chiron has dipped back into Aries, into your tenth house, at its final degree. This is an opportunity to revisit any wounds around leadership—around being authentic in public, owning who you are in your work, despite any anxieties or childhood wounds around self-worth. Chiron remains in Aries until April 2027, so there is still time to work with this.

Support from the Unseen

Fortunately, Pluto, retrograde in Aquarius, is sextile from your eighth house, and Uranus, retrograde in Gemini, is sextile from your twelfth—both offering structural support. They give you insight into psychological family inheritances, and a direct connection to the unconscious truths of your soul.

The Axis of Public and Private

And across the sky, the Sun opposes the Full Moon from your fourth house in Libra—the place of home, family, and private foundations. This is the axis of the Full Moon: your public self and your private self, career and home, the world’s gaze and your own hearth. In Libra, the Sun brings a need to acknowledge balance and harmony in your home and family life. With Mercury here, ruled by Venus in Scorpio, you are asked to convey your relational needs with deep honesty and vulnerability.

.

Leo

The Search for Meaning

The Full Moon falls into your ninth house in Aries—the place of belief, philosophy, higher learning, and foreign travel. The seeds sown at the Aries New Moon in mid-April now come to fruition.

What Rises into Awareness

As the borrowed light of the Full Moon reaches its peak, emotional truths rise into your awareness—an understanding of what has been quietly forming in the waxing light. Whatever surfaces in the ninth house will be tied to your individuation: your belief in yourself, and the worldview you carry. Aries is the sign of action and assertion—of wandering boldly into unknown territory.

Neptune and Saturn

This Full Moon is conjunct Neptune, travelling retrograde through Aries. Neptune beckons you inward, toward inspiration, art, and spiritual union. Yet he also dissolves the boundaries that usually define reality, drawing you into fog, illusion, and escapism. And retrograde Saturn travels with the Moon, asking you to review your faith in yourself—to define what you will and will not accept, and, above all, to persevere.

The Wound of Sovereignty

Chiron, the Wounded Healer, has slipped back into Aries, offering another chance to process old wounds. In Aries, you are asked to own your authentic identity: to ask for what you want, and to believe you are worthy of it. To hold your sovereignty. To release the self-abandoning habits, the crippling doubt. Chiron remains in Aries until April 2027—this is not the final word, but an invitation.

The Mutual Reception

The Full Moon, Neptune, Saturn, and Chiron are all ruled by Mars, who travels through the final degree of Cancer. In the lunar waters—the place of Mars’ fall—he struggles to assert himself, or to express his anger directly. And yet, Mars and the Moon are in mutual reception: Mars sits in the Moon’s sign, and the Moon sits in the sign of Mars. They understand each other, even across the tension of their square. The Moon lends Mars her emotional intelligence; Mars lends the Moon his fire and the courage to act. And so the work of trusting your instincts, of standing your ground, of finding the courage of your convictions, comes through the challenge of defining yourself from, despite, or amid your family, your childhood, and your ancestral and maternal karma.

The Axis of I and We

Opposing the Moon, your ruler the Sun sits across the sky in your third house. The Sun illuminates your immediate environment, your daily thought patterns, your community. It asks you to find balance, harmony, and beauty in your mind and thoughts, and in your relationships and interactions. In axial tension to the Full Moon, it reminds you that without inner balance and supportive relationships, you will struggle to individuate with clarity and self-acceptance. Aries is the I. Libra is the we.

The Release of What Was Never You

And with Jupiter and the South Node in your first house, you are given the support, wisdom, and resources to find your true self—by releasing the parts of yourself that were never truly you.

.

Virgo

The Hidden Eighth

The Full Moon falls into your hidden eighth house in Aries—the place of shared resources, karmic connections, death, and inheritance. It brings to fruition the seeds planted at the Aries New Moon in mid-April. And now, as the light of the Moon peaks, so does an emotional realisation. A turning point. A completion.

The Tension of Control

Aries is the sign of individuation, independence, and assertion. Yet the eighth house is a place where we do not have absolute control—a place of karmic entanglement, the esteem of others, intimacy, vulnerability, trust, and loss. With its ruler, Mars, in the final degree of Cancer, the themes of family, maternal lineage, and childhood experience colour this Full Moon. Mars sits in your eleventh house, so family here may pertain to your social network, your collaborators, your aspirations. There could be a high-stakes conflict, a fallout, a dramatic transition within a group. With Mars in Cancer, you may feel defensive of what is vulnerable—or of a dream you have been quietly nurturing.

Neptune’s Mist and Saturn’s Discipline

Retrograde Neptune sits close to the Moon, veiling her light in mist. This may bring confusion, illusion, blurred boundaries. Yet it may also grant you a spiritualised understanding of the emotions that arise—a quieter, deeper knowing beneath the fog. Retrograde Saturn is present too, Ruler of the Threshold between the material and the spiritual. He asks you to find your limits, your discipline—to develop wisdom borne of trial and adversity.

The Wound of Survival

And Chiron, the Wounded Healer, has slipped back into Aries, joining this Full Moon in your eighth house. What wounds do you still carry around survival, codependency, and powerlessness? Chiron remains in Aries until April 2027—this is not a final reckoning, but a continuing invitation.

The Axis of Owe and Owed

The Sun travels in opposition to the Moon, in your Libra second house, with your ruler Mercury. In Venus’ masculine air sign, your rational mind seeks balance and fairness in your personal finances. In tension to your eighth house, the Sun and Mercury ask what you owe, and what is owed to you. They ask you to uphold your values, to protect your self-esteem, to reassess your commitment to your own financial independence—in contrast to your obligations to others. Mercury seeks diplomacy and grace. Yet with Venus, his ruler, slow and intense in Scorpio, you may need to speak your raw emotional truth.

.

Libra

The Mirror of Partnership

The Full Moon falls into your seventh house in Aries—the place of committed partnership. It brings to fruition the seeds planted at the Aries New Moon in mid-April.

Fog and Cold Reality

As the lunar light peaks, emotional truths surface, and something reaches its turning point. Conjunct retrograde Neptune, matters of partnership may feel veiled in mist—unclear, porous, difficult to grasp. You may find yourself casting your partner as victim, martyr, or saviour. Or you may feel the sting of betrayal, real or imagined. Through the fog, retrograde Saturn asks for something harder: cold reality. Constraint. The honest reckoning with the patterns you have carried from relationship to relationship.

The Descent of Venus

The Sun sits in perfect opposition in your first house—the axis of self and other. In the masculine air sign of Venus, the Sun seeks intellectual clarity, a balance of thought. Mercury travels beside him, seeking to relate with diplomacy and fairness. Yet their mistress, Venus, has descended into the dark, deep waters of Scorpio. She is slowing now, preparing to station retrograde, and for her descent into the underworld. In the domain of Mars, she is vulnerable, psychological, defensive. She seeks the truth—and she is vigilant for any sign of deception.

Mars Under Pressure

Mars rules this Full Moon. He sits at the final degree of Cancer in your tenth house—wanting to act, yet unsure how. The urgency is there: to react, to defend home and family, emotional safety, everything tender. But in the tenth house, he is visible to all. He must remain composed.

The Wound of the Other

And Chiron, the Wounded Healer, has slipped back into the final degree of Aries, offering another chance to revisit a familiar wound around the ‘other’. Ruled by Mars in Cancer’s final degree, these wounds touch on family, belonging, and what we carry into partnership—the ache between me and we, self and other. Chiron remains in Aries until April 2027. This is not a final reckoning. It is a continuing invitation to heal.

.

Scorpio

The Body’s Ledger

The Full Moon falls into your sixth house—the place of health, daily labour, and the rhythm of your days. Look back to the Aries New Moon of mid-April for the seeds of what now manifests.

The Root of the Matter

As the lunar light peaks, so too does your awareness around a sixth-house matter—a completion, a culmination, or a crisis. A health issue may flare up, asking you to review your lifestyle and commitments. Perhaps it is the long hours, the poor sleep, the stress that has quietly accumulated. Neptune, retrograde and conjunct the Moon, dissolves boundaries and may bring confusion. Saturn, also retrograde, offers a harder gift: realism about the sustainability of your workload and daily routines. The Aries impulse is to push, to compete, to succeed. But to reach your goals, you must account for your body. Saturn asks you to look at the root—the fear of failure, the fear of vulnerability, the impossibly high standards you set for yourself.

The Quenched Fire

Mars, your ruler and the ruler of this Full Moon, sits in the final degree of Cancer in your ninth house. You may feel defensive of your beliefs, your faith, your worldview—protective of your culture, your homeland. There may be urgency around foreign travel or higher learning. But Mars’ instinct to assert directly is quenched in Cancer’s lunar waters. His desires—or his anger—are expressed indirectly, or passively. Find an outlet for these emotions—or they may build, release explosively, or turn inward against yourself.

The Wound of the Thwarted Will

Chiron, the Wounded Healer, has slipped into your sixth house, in the final degree of Aries. Also ruled by Mars in Cancer, Chiron offers a chance to process a long-standing wound—the bodily imprint of a will thwarted, desires in conflict with inherited family, cultural, or religious beliefs. A sense that daily labour is restricting your freedom, your sovereignty, your identity. Chiron remains in Aries until April 2027. This is an unfolding, not a conclusion.

The Sacred Descent

And across the sky, the Sun sits in your twelfth house in Libra—the place of the unconscious, of hidden aspects of the self, of karmic inheritances and self-limiting beliefs. The Sun asks you to honour your spiritual needs, to find balance between your inner and outer life. To focus inward. To spend time in quiet reflection. To engage in practices that bring awareness and still the mind. This is sacred shadow work—work that requires surrender and release.

And you do not walk into the shadows alone. Mercury travels with the Sun in your twelfth house, acting as your guide and protector as you cross the threshold.

.

Sagittarius

The Joy That Culminates

The Full Moon falls into your fifth house in Aries—the place of joy, self-expression, creativity, romance, and children. Look back to the Aries New Moon of mid-April for the seeds of what now culminates.

What Asks to Be Released

As the lunar light peaks, so does your awareness around a fifth-house matter—a completion, a culmination, or a crisis. Emotional insights arise around what brings you joy, what you create, and who you love. Something may reach its turning point. Something may ask to be released.

The Weight of Entanglement

Mars, your ruler and the ruler of this Full Moon, sits in the final degree of Cancer in your hidden eighth house. There is urgency here—intensity around shared resources, karmic entanglements, inheritance, and transformation. Ancestral karma may surface, particularly along the maternal line. You may feel more defensive, more reactive—protective of your boundaries and your inner sanctuary. Vulnerability in shared or entangled situations may feel uncomfortable. Aries wants independence, freedom. And yet the eighth house asks: what obligations are restricting your creative freedom, your time with children, your romantic life?

The Wound of Self-Expression

Chiron, the Wounded Healer, has also slipped into your fifth house, in the final degree of Aries. Here lies a wound around self-expression—around being allowed to shine, or feeling exposed, or finding joy. Linked to the eighth house, themes of vulnerability, betrayal, and intimacy may also surface. But Chiron offers an invitation: to process the wound, and to live joyfully on your own terms. To express yourself authentically and unapologetically. Chiron remains in Aries until April 2027—this is an unfolding, not a conclusion.

Illusions in Love

Neptune, retrograde and conjunct the Moon, may bring inspiration to your creativity—but watch for illusions in love. You may place a partner on a pedestal, projecting onto them an idealised vision. Saturn, also retrograde, is present too, asking you to review your boundaries, to practise perseverance, to play the long game.

The Axis of Belonging

And across the sky, the Sun sits in opposition in your eleventh house in Libra, seeking focus and balance in your social groups and public aspirations. This is the axis of the Full Moon: the tension between your public connections and alliances, and your personal joy, creativity, and intimate bonds. Where do you belong, and where do you belong to yourself?

Support from Unexpected Quarters

But support arrives from unexpected quarters. Uranus, retrograde in your seventh house in Gemini, is trine to Pluto, retrograde in your third house in Aquarius—and both are sextile to the Full Moon. Your fifth-house matters are supported through partnership, new ideas, and deep insight in your thoughts and local connections. Perhaps a sibling. Perhaps a conversation that changes everything.

.

Capricorn

The Ground Beneath Your Feet

The Full Moon falls into your fourth house in Aries—the place of parents, home, and family. Look back to the Aries New Moon of mid-April for the seeds of what now culminates.

The Patterns That Shape Us

Matters of family, roots, and your personal foundations come into focus, reaching a culmination or turning point. Mars sits in the final degree of Cancer, in your seventh house of committed partnership. Here his fiery energy is quenched by the lunar waters, and thus you may feel defensive, reactive, or struggle to assert yourself. Located in the house of relationship, old family patterns that shape how you meet your partner may now become evident.

Fog and Vulnerability

As you process these emotional realisations, you may need to unpick what is real and what is illusion. Neptune, retrograde and conjunct the Full Moon, dissolves boundaries—challenging you to see clearly, and making you feel vulnerable.

The Saturnian Review

And Saturn, your ruler, travels retrograde in the fourth house. He asks you to look inward—to review your identity in relation to family and upbringing. To review your personal boundaries, inner discipline, and self-assertion. What is yours to carry, and what was never yours at all?

The Wound of Sovereignty

This is echoed by Chiron, the Wounded Healer, who has returned to Aries—offering a chance to gently revisit a wound around your sense of self, your independence, sovereignty, and self-assertion amidst the expectations of family. A wound that may shape how you relate to others as an adult. Chiron remains in Aries until April 2027. This is an unfolding, not a conclusion.

The Axis of Public and Private

And across the sky, the Sun sits in your tenth house in Libra, with Mercury, in opposition to the Moon. This is the axis of the Full Moon: public and private, career and home, the world’s gaze and your own hearth. Publicly, you give the appearance of grace, diplomacy, balance. But ruler Venus is in Scorpio, slowing down, drawing you toward deeper feeling—vulnerability, truth, and the quiet power of honesty.

The Intellectual Scaffold

Fortunately, support arrives. Pluto, retrograde in Aquarius in your second house, and Uranus, retrograde in Gemini in your sixth, are trine to each other—and both sextile to the Full Moon. Your thinking will be nimble, allowing you to think outside the box as you meet your obligations and daily labour, whilst also allowing deep insight into aspects around your financial independence, livelihood, and self-worth. This is your intellectual scaffolding. A rational foundation as you navigate the Full Moon’s intensity in matters of roots, family, and relational inheritance.

The Joy of the Daily Mind

The Full Moon lights up your third house in Aries—bringing to fruition the seeds planted at the Aries New Moon of mid-April.

Inspiration and Illusion

As the borrowed light of the Moon peaks, emotional clarity arrives around siblings and community, around your daily thought patterns—your conversations, your writing, your media projects, your short trips. Traditionally, this is the house where the Moon finds her joy—where her natural affinity for connection, curiosity, and the rhythms of daily life is most at home. With Neptune, retrograde and conjunct the Full Moon, you may feel inspired, alive with new ideas, drawn toward spiritual expression or practice. But watch for blurred boundaries. Illusions. People who are not quite what they seem.

The Mutual Reception

Mars, ruler of this Full Moon, sits in the final degree of Cancer in your sixth house—also in his joy, for this is a house of work and service, where his drive finds productive expression. Here lies a quiet connection between your third-house manifestations and your physical health, your daily labours, your obligations. The Moon and Mars are in mutual reception, both rejoicing. There is understanding between these houses. A cooperation. A shared purpose.

The Wound of Belonging

Chiron, the Wounded Healer, has re-entered Aries and sits at its final degree—bringing focus to a wound around identity, around your membership in society, around the freedom to be yourself and be accepted. With Mars ruling in Cancer, memories may surface—early childhood experiences, family stories. Perhaps a family obligation that restricted your freedom or affected your health. There may be a link here to expressing yourself through writing—a memoir, a podcast—something that helps others, or serves your community. Chiron remains in Aries until April 2027. This is an unfolding, not a conclusion.

The Support That Holds You

And you are supported. Saturn, your ruler, retraces his steps in your third house, signalling an inner review of structure and boundaries—asking you to develop resilience and dedication. Pluto, in your first house, offers deep insight and release. Uranus, retrograde in your fifth, brings unexpected epiphanies—insight that arrives through creativity, through romance, through your children. This support feeds back into the Full Moon’s manifestations, guiding your creativity and learning, and the pioneering ideas you share within your community.

The Axis of Daily and Divine

Meanwhile, the Sun rejoices in your ninth house—the house of God—travelling with Mercury. This is the axis of the Full Moon: the daily mind and the higher mind, the conversation and the philosophy, the local and the universal. You are asked to find meaning in the everyday—and to bring your highest ideals into your immediate world. In Libra, the Sun is coloured by a need for justice, diplomacy, and harmony. But its ruler, Venus, is in Mars’ sign of Scorpio, slowing in preparation for her station retrograde in your tenth house. Thus deeper, more intense energies now arise around your career and public reputation—power dynamics, raw truth, the unvarnished reality of how you are seen. And these energies will colour your ninth-house matters, adding weight and urgency to your search for meaning.

The Worth of What You Build

The Full Moon lights up your second house in Aries—the place of financial independence, livelihood, and self-worth. Look to the Aries New Moon of mid-April for the seeds of what now manifests.

The Tender and the Secure

As the reflected light of the Moon peaks, emotional truths come into awareness. Matters of livelihood, resources, and worth reach their completion, their culmination, or their crisis. Mars, your ruler, sits in the final degree of Cancer in your fifth house—colouring this Full Moon with urgency and intensity around joy, creativity, romance, and children. In Cancer, Mars speaks to how self-expression nurtures you. He feels protective here, defensive of emotional security, of boundaries, of what is vulnerable. And so a tension emerges: the Aries desire for independence, assertion, sovereignty, meets the Cancerian need to protect what is tender. Can you secure your own finances without hardening your heart?

The Wound of Deserving

Chiron has also returned to the final degree of Aries, joining this Full Moon. Here lies a wound around self-worth—around being deserving of joy, around pursuing creativity for its own sake and meaning, not for the income or acclaim it might bring. This is a moment of reflection: does your current livelihood bring you satisfaction in terms of joy and creativity? Does it allow you the time and freedom to express yourself? Chiron remains in Aries until April 2027. This is an unfolding, not a conclusion.

The Axis of Owe and Own

The Sun and Mercury oppose the Full Moon from your eighth house—the place of shared resources, debts, and inheritances. Here lies the axis of the Full Moon: your own financial and psychological independence, your self-worth, in tension with what you share, what you owe, what you inherit. Is there a balance that allows you time and freedom to pursue your creative projects? Your exaltation ruler, Venus, who also rules your eighth house, travels through Scorpio in your ninth house. So although you strive to keep eighth-house matters harmonious and diplomatic, Venus moves through deep Martial waters—where raw truth, intensity, and power rule. But Venus is trine to your first house, and so this intensity speaks to your identity, your personal growth, your desire to expand your horizons.

The Support That Holds You

And you are supported. Pluto, retrograde in Aquarius in your twelfth house, allows you to look deep into your unconscious—to purge self-limiting beliefs. Uranus, retrograde in Gemini in your fourth house, gives you insight, breakthroughs, and a desire for freedom in your private foundations of home and family. And these, in turn, support the manifestations of the Full Moon in your second house—your livelihood, your resources, your sense of what you are worth.
