The New Moon seeds in Libra — the cardinal air temple of Venus, masculine in polarity. Here, the Moon seeks to project outward, to initiate and create through mind, intellect, and communication. She seeks peace, balance, and partnership.
Yet her ruler, Venus, retraces her steps through the deep waters of Scorpio, the feminine nocturnal sign of Mars. Unaspected to Libra, she cannot lend the Moon her usual support. She struggles to manifest her natural desire for ease, pleasure, and harmony. In Scorpio, she operates with intensity and an all-or-nothing quality, seeking deep intimacy, loyalty, and an uncompromising search for truth. Here she may embody Black Moon Lilith — the exiled feminine who refuses to submit — or Medusa, whose rage was never witnessed, only punished. The sacred feminine rage around matters of control, betrayal, revenge, and vulnerability.
Venus in the Underworld
As Venus turns retrograde, she begins her descent into the underworld. This is no ordinary descent — it marks the end of a hundred-year cycle. Venus’s Star Point in Scorpio, active since 1926, completes its final pass on October 23–24, 2026. After this, the cycle shifts permanently into Libra. The oldest story we have of this descent is Inanna’s — and it is tied directly to the cycle of Venus itself.

Inanna is the Goddess of love and fertility who descends into the underworld to see her sister Ereshkigal, the Queen of the Dead. As she passes through the seven gates, she must surrender a piece of her royal clothes and adornments until she stands completely naked and powerless before her sister. Ereshkigal judges her, kills her, and hangs her corpse on a meat hook. Later, after Inanna’s servant gets help from the god Enki, Inanna is brought back to life with the water of life, though she must find a replacement to take her place in the underworld. She chooses her husband, Dumuzid, furious with his lack of grief after her death. She reclaims her royal clothes and adornment as she ascends through each of the seven gates back to the world of the living.

Inanna’s story is one of power surrendered and reclaimed — of what must be stripped away before anything true can be rebuilt. It speaks to the shedding of emotional or financial dependencies, of facing deep vulnerability, and regaining your personal power and self-worth.

The final Venus Star Point — the cazimi — falls at 0° Scorpio on October 24. At this midpoint of the retrograde, Venus and the Sun conjoin exactly, and she shifts from evening star to morning star: a rebirth in the heart of the burning way. Because this is the last Scorpio cazimi of the cycle, the clarity that arrives here carries the weight of completion. What surfaces is not just personal — it is the closing of something that began before you were born.

As the New Moon seeds, Venus is in a square to Mars in Leo. This challenging alignment — in which Mars has the slight upper hand — may bring discord around the balance of give and take within a relationship, with one party feeling they are doing more of the giving. The will and ego of Mars in Leo may trample on Venus’ sensitivity, stirring anger, passion, and hurt feelings. Fortunately, the tension is tempered — Venus and Mars lie within each other’s bounds, which softens the blow.
Libra Decan II

This New Moon falls into the second decan of Libra. It is associated with the linking or union of two people through partnership or marriage. Saturn is exalted in Libra and thus rules over contractual commitment. Yet Saturn is also a malefic that brings suffering or misfortune. It is fitting, then, that the tarot card tied to this decan is the Three of Swords. This card speaks to the more painful aspects of life — sorrow, broken vows, and betrayal. And yet, it represents the bittersweet clarity of truth, and Venus in Scorpio would have it no other way.
The Poison and the Remedy
Chiron’s return to Aries reminds us that the wound itself can become the medicine — that the poison that wounds us can be alchemised into wisdom, strength, or an ability to heal and assist others.
The Ancient Greek word pharmakon meant remedy, poison, and magical charm simultaneously. The exact same substance can either destroy or heal, depending on its dose.

The pharmakos was a human scapegoat chosen from the margins of the community — a slave, a criminal, the already-excluded. They were fed, honoured, and paraded through the city, then beaten, killed, or exiled in times of plague or famine. They were seen as the cause or carrier of the curse, the poison. By sacrificing them, the community was purified, given the remedy. The scapegoat, or pharmakon, was the poison, the remedy, and the magical charm all in one.

Liz Greene, the psychological astrologer and Jungian analyst, writes in Chiron in Love that scapegoating is a shadow projection of Scorpio — the unevolved scorpion that lashes out and stings maliciously from a place of deep, unexamined pain.
The scorpion’s sting delivers a potent venom. Venus in Scorpio asks us where the venom lives, and who is carrying it? She asks whether the sting can become the antidote — whether poison can be alchemised into wisdom, healing for others, resilience, art, or love that does not flinch.

Aries: The Relational Reset

The New Moon seeds in Libra in your seventh house — the place of committed partnership — a time when the seeds of a relational reset are sown. In Libra, the Moon seeks companionship, diplomacy, and balance.
But the ruler of this New Moon, Venus, travels through Scorpio, the domain of Mars. Here she cannot operate with her usual preference for ease, harmony, and pleasure. She must express herself within the depths of Mars’ nocturnal waters. This brings an intensity to the realm of relationships, where Venus demands unfiltered truth, loyalty, and deep intimacy. Scorpio is your eighth house — karmic entanglements, shared resources, inheritance, and debts may cast a heavy shadow on this New Moon.
The Underworld Descent
And she is not moving forward. Venus travels retrograde, retracing her steps through Scorpio. She begins her descent into the underworld, marking a time of reassessment in matters of love, self-worth, intimacy, and power. Any unhealed wounds are ripe for transformation into psychological sovereignty. Venus in Scorpio demands undiluted truth, asking where you have compromised your truth, power, and values.
Contracts and Caution
Because this all unfolds in your seventh house, the practical stakes are real. Libra and the seventh house are tied to contracts, business agreements, and legal disputes. With ruler Venus retrograde, it is wise, if possible, to delay entering into any new contracts until mid-November, when Venus once again travels direct.
Your Own Fire
And your own fire has something to say about all this. Your ruler, Mars, is in your fellow fire sign, Leo, in your fifth house. Your vitality is high — you seek passionate joy, romance, and creativity, to truly express yourself. Leo colours your desires with pride and a need for recognition. Yet Mars also rules Venus and aspects her in a challenging square from your fifth house, bringing potential friction to your eighth-house commitments and interdependencies. Your own fire may be part of the problem — or it may be what finally gives you the courage to stop compromising.
.
Taurus: The Weight of Constancy

The Libra New Moon seeds in your sixth house, initiating a reset in your health, routine, and daily labours. In Libra, the Moon seeks balance and harmony. Ask yourself whether a poor diet, stress, or taking on too many responsibilities is affecting your physical wellbeing.
The Dark Waters
Your ruler, Venus, governs this New Moon. She travels retrograde through the neighbouring sign of Scorpio, ruled by Mars. This is a time of revision, of turning inward — and in the nocturnal, feminine water sign of Mars, she is challenged. She cannot rely on her natural significations of ease, harmony, and pleasure. The dark waters bring out her intensity, her vulnerability. Scorpio is your seventh house of committed partnership — where Venus seeks raw intimacy, uncompromising truth, and an all-or-nothing approach.
Releasing What You Carry
So your daily life, your somatic wellbeing, your work experience — all may be coloured by relational intensity, secrets, or manipulation. When Venus travels retrograde, she begins her descent into the underworld. Connected to the ancient Sumerian myth of Inanna, this is a time of stripping away facades in your relationships. Releasing projections. Releasing dependencies. Releasing the strategies you use to avoid vulnerability and keep yourself safe.
Retrogrades commonly bring people or events from the past back into your life. Emotional memories or wounds from a previous relationship may arise for processing. An ex-partner may reappear.
The seventh house is also the place of business partnerships, contracts, and legal disputes. Venus in Scorpio is strategic and highly perceptive. But as she travels retrograde, if you can, delay any agreements or important decisions until mid-November, when she once again travels direct in Libra. Deep re-evaluation may reveal hidden liabilities, an unequal balance of power, or new information may come to light — and the full cost of what you have agreed to may only now become clear.
Safeguarding What Matters
Meanwhile, Mars, now in your fourth house in Leo, is aligned to Venus in a challenging square. Mars is assertive, fiery, and dynamic — and can bring tension around family and home. What Venus retrograde exposes in your relationships and contracts may meet with more heat than usual. And though the Libra New Moon seeks harmony and peace, Mars will push you to actively address any unspoken friction or misgivings. But this may be necessary — to safeguard your health, time, and necessary obligations.
.
Gemini: A Fifth House Reset

The New Moon seeds in your fifth house, initiating a reset of what brings you joy and how you express yourself creatively. It is the house of children, and the place of romance. In Libra, you seek to bring harmony, grace, and beauty to these areas of your life.
Venus in the Sixth
But the ruler of this New Moon, Venus, travels through the neighbouring sign of Scorpio in your sixth house. Here, her usual preference for peace, ease, and pleasure is coloured by the depth and intensity of Mars’ nocturnal waters. She is copresent with your ruler, Mercury, and travelling retrograde toward her meeting with the Sun on October 24, and her eventual return to your Libra fifth house on October 25. Moreover, Venus is squared by Mars, from your third house of Leo.
The Question of Work
Thus, sixth-house matters will be under review: how you manage your physical health, your daily schedule, and your work colleagues and environment. You may find yourself reconsidering your current job — whether to stay or leave, whether the daily reality of it still fits. These are worthy questions to sit with. But with Venus retrograde, delay any major decisions about work, and avoid signing new contracts, until she travels direct in mid-November. And because Venus is in Scorpio, relational themes will be in the spotlight. She is concerned with self-worth, power, and control, and demands uncompromising loyalty and honesty.
A Deep Examination of Joy
What this means is that the seeding of new fifth-house matters may not be as light and breezy as you had hoped. Your creativity or art may express weightier, thought-provoking, or visceral themes. Romances, existing or new, may be more intense or passionate than usual, with a strong desire for deep intimacy — shadow qualities such as obsessiveness or jealousy may also surface.
Old childhood patterns or unhealed material may arise at this time, bringing you to review your role as a parent, to reflect on whether you hold healthy boundaries, or whether you have compromised your own needs. Watch for communication or reactiveness that comes from ego-preservation or your inner child. This is a time for deep honesty with yourself and others.
But with Mercury also travelling through Scorpio, Gemini, your renowned ability to hold two truths at once will allow you to navigate heavier topics with intellect and integrity.
.
Cancer: Stronger Roots

The New Moon in Libra seeds in your fourth house of parents, home, and family. It signifies a reset in your emotional foundations, your private sanctuary, and your ancestral roots. In Libra, you seek harmony, balance, and peace in this private sphere — a place of emotional nurturance, pleasure, and safety.
Joy Under Review
Yet Venus, the ruler of this New Moon, travels retrograde in the neighbouring fifth house in Scorpio. She rejoices in this house — it is her joy — but in the deep emotional waters of Mars, she must navigate his desire for intensity, passion, assertion, and conflict. When Venus travels retrograde, she turns inward, reviewing matters of self-worth, what you value, and what brings you pleasure. Relational patterns, unhealed wounds, or ex-partners may resurface, bringing greater intensity to fifth-house matters of joy, creativity, romance, and children. And with Mercury also in Scorpio, you will communicate with depth and honesty — though not always gently.
Where You Came From
The fourth house is not only where you live. It is where you came from. The patterns, the griefs, the unspoken contracts of your lineage are all seeded here, and this New Moon asks you to look at them with clear eyes. Venus retrograde in Scorpio gives you the depth to do it — if you are willing to look.
The Life You Actually Desire
And Mars himself is square to Venus from your second house in Leo. A drive to take action around your finances, livelihood, and independence may clash with family, or place tension on your living situation. Meanwhile, you may be rethinking where you find joy and what you truly value. The question Mars asks is not whether you can afford the life you have built — but whether it is the life you actually want.
You are ruled by the Moon, Cancer, and thus this new lunation speaks to the very heart of your domestic foundations. A reset of home and family that will require you to review deeper aspects of relational dynamics, self-worth, independence, and what truly brings you joy. The fourth house is the root. What you tend here grows everywhere else.
.
Leo: Community Woven Anew

The New Moon seeds in your third house in Libra, signifying a reset in your community connections, your daily thought patterns, siblings, and communication. The Moon finds her joy here, where the cyclical ebb and flow of her light reflects the flux of our daily lives.
In Libra, you desire harmony and peace in your communal relationships and interactions. But the ruler of Libra, Venus, sits in your fourth house in Scorpio, a sign ruled by Mars. Here, she cannot rely on her usual preference for grace and easy flow, for she must operate within Mars’ domain, where intensity, transformation, and power rule.
Sifting Through Family Karma
And Venus is now retrograde, moving backward through Scorpio, where she will soon merge with the Sun on October 24, and re-enter Libra on October 25. She begins her descent into the underworld, where her focus turns inward to review and reassess Venusian themes — how you meet others relationally, your boundaries, what you give and keep for yourself, your self-worth and values. And because Venus sits in your fourth house of parents, home, and family, familial patterns or dynamics may surface now. Old roles, old loyalties, old wounds — the material you inherited before you had any say in it. Libra also rules partnership, commitment, and contracts, and aspects of your history may now return for review. Emotional patterns or wounds may re-emerge for reprocessing — an opportunity to identify what is yours and what is ready for release.
Meeting the World with Will
Venus travels with Mercury, and both are ruled by Mars, who moves through your first house in Leo. Here, Mars brings his qualities of vitality, will, and assertion to you personally — your identity, body, and mind. Mars is aspected to Venus in a challenging square, an aspect that creates tension between your sovereignty and your parents, home, and family. As deep psychological patterns or wounds from your childhood arise, you have the opportunity to meet them with will, assertion, and action. To cut and release old beliefs or narratives that you have inherited but that no longer hold you in their sway. This takes courage — and a willingness to honour and protect your authentic self.
Unflinching Self-Honesty
The South Node and Jupiter also move through your first house. The South Node asks you to release material and egoistic attachments that hinder your growth, while Jupiter seeks to expand your sense of self, bringing opportunities for growth and wisdom. By expanding your experiential horizons, you are asked to integrate your conscious and unconscious self — to realise that self-worth comes from within. Only then will your divine, radiant self shine.
And all this is encompassed in the humble initiation of the New Moon. A chance to find balance and harmony within your thoughts, the people in your community, and a generosity of Leo heart. But first you must look within — for the parts of yourself you have not yet owned, with unflinching self-honesty.
.
Virgo: Finding Your Truly Value

The New Moon seeds in your second house, in Libra. It signifies a reset in matters of your financial assets and livelihood, your sense of self-worth, and independence.
The Mind’s Deep Waters
Libra rules balance, harmony, and diplomacy. Yet with its ruler, Venus, travelling retrograde through Scorpio in your third house, she must operate within the intensity of Mars’ nocturnal waters. This is the realm of your daily thought patterns, your siblings, and community interactions. Relational patterns and unprocessed wounds may now arise for healing, impinging on your self-esteem, self-worth, or confidence in your relationships. Vulnerability around your financial independence and security may also surface. What you thought you had settled may turn out to be unresolved after all.
Loosening the Psyche’s Bonds
And Mars travels through your twelfth house in Leo, and looks upon Venus by square — an aspect of tension. Unconscious karmic patterns may be stirred: desires, inner conflict, and wounds around your inner child.
The South Node and Jupiter also travel through this house. The South Node encourages you to release emotional or psychological patterns that no longer serve you — survival mechanisms developed in your childhood that hinder your growth. Jupiter, meanwhile, seeks to expand your awareness, illuminating new aspects of your psyche — liberating you from unconscious narratives that do not reflect who you truly are.
And Mercury, your ruler, also travels through your Scorpio third house. Your thoughts and communications will take on a weightier quality. Perhaps deep conversations with your siblings around events from your childhood, or giving expression to more intense emotions through writing, journaling, or poetry.
The Body Knows
This is an opportunity to become more whole, more integrated — and from that wholeness, to have greater confidence in your ability to protect and provide for yourself. To push past your intellectual understanding of yourself, and to allow the wisdom of your emotional body to speak and be integrated. The body knows what the mind has not yet learned to say.
.
Libra: A Personal Reset

The New Moon falls into your first house, in Libra. It signifies a personal reset in your identity, sense of self, values, and self-worth. Ruled by Venus, Libra seeks partnership, harmony, ease, and pleasure. It is a sign oriented toward the other. Yet Venus travels retrograde through the sign of Scorpio — the deep nocturnal waters of Mars. Here, she expresses affection with intense passion, sometimes obsessively. She does not trust flippantly, using defensiveness and secrecy as protection. Yet through this intensity and depth come transformation and healing.
The Second House Descent
This is your second house, and as she retraces her steps through Scorpio, outward action shifts to an internal focus. Venus is descending into the underworld to process and reassess unacknowledged emotional patterns and wounds. The second house rules our survival skills, our livelihood, how we support ourselves materially. This is a time of shedding old narratives about ourselves — our worthiness, our self-esteem, our values. With Mars, the ruler of Scorpio, aspecting her by square from your eleventh house, there may be relational friction within your social networks, impacting your financial stability or sense of security. In Leo, these may stem from ego-driven vulnerability, defensiveness, or a wounded inner child. Mars seeks to assert his will here and to cut ties if necessary. As Mars also squares Mercury in Scorpio, try to communicate from a place of deep self-honesty and healthy boundaries if conflicts should arise. Mars will also energise your long-term ambitions in the eleventh house, which may now impact your material situation and financial goals. With a sextile from Uranus in your ninth house, thoughts around further study or overseas travel may also be stirring.
The Cazimi’s Threshold
Venus’ retrograde is especially potent for you, Libra. As she moves backward through Scorpio, she merges with the Sun at 0° of Scorpio on October 24 — a critical threshold. This is a powerful point of purging: a release of toxic attachments and hidden power dynamics. Here, Venus surrenders her fears around emotional or financial security, loneliness, worthiness, and betrayal.
A Sacred Rebirth
Mercury stations retrograde just as Venus meets the Sun in cazimi. He moves into the underworld as psychopomp, guiding Venus across the threshold back into your first house. She re-enters Libra on October 25, to begin reclaiming her sovereignty and dignity. This will be a time of internal re-evaluation and integration of the truths unearthed in Scorpio into your physical body, your sense of self, and your identity. And what are you ready to release? Patterns of codependency, people-pleasing, or fear-based attachments.
This is a sacred time for you, Libra. A journey toward a personal rebirth — how you project yourself into the world, and how you meet others interpersonally.
.
Scorpio: Releasing Attachments

The New Moon falls in your twelfth house in Libra. This is the realm of the unconscious — matters often hidden from our awareness. It is the repository of our ancestral karma, sorrows, and sometimes self-undoing. Vedic astrologers know this as a Moksha house, a place where we are asked to release ego attachments to bring spiritual liberation. The New Moon signifies the planting of a new seed within this psychic, private inner realm. In Libra, it seeks to manifest greater inner harmony and peace, asking you to release fears around love, self-worth, and emotional security.
A Reassessment of Self
The ruler of this New Moon, Venus, travels through your first house with Mercury in Scorpio. Venus moves retrograde, signifying her descent into the underworld. This is a time of inward focus rather than external action — a time of reassessment and re-evaluation in matters of your identity, your values, your worthiness, and even your appearance. Here, in the domain of Mars, Venus desires deep intimacy, undiluted truth, and emotional security. She will merge with the Sun in cazimi on October 24 at 0°, a profound point signifying surrender and release from toxic relational patterns. Mercury stations retrograde only hours earlier, descending as psychopomp into the underworld, guiding the vulnerable Venus across the threshold into your Libra twelfth house. Here, the shadow work commences in earnest, within the sacred confines of your psyche.
The Public Face, the Private Truth
And Mars travels through your tenth house — the place of career, public actions, and reputation. Here, he fires up your assertiveness, energy, and drive in your professional life. Mars looks upon Venus in your first house in a challenging square aspect, creating pressure or friction between your professional ambitions and public responsibilities, and your personal identity, desires, and self-worth. With Mars in Leo, there is the potential for ego-based conflict with co-workers. And with Mercury in your Scorpio first house, your communication will not shy away from heavier sentiments — or from probing for people’s true motivations.
The Wisdom of the Underworld
When Venus stations direct in mid-November, you will begin to digest her insights. And when she re-enters Scorpio in early December, you will move forward with this newly integrated wisdom, values, and self-worth — no longer the person who began this descent. The underworld gives back what you are willing to reclaim and release.
.
Sagittarius: Auditing Alliances and Dreams

The New Moon seeds in Libra, your eleventh house, signifying a reset in your social networks and long-term aspirations. Libra seeks relational harmony, balance, and peace. Yet its ruler, Venus, travels retrograde through your Scorpio, bringing an intensity to this new lunation.
Venus prefers ease and pleasure, but in the deep emotional waters of Scorpio, she must express herself in Mars’ domain. Here she is passionate and sometimes compulsive. She does not shy away from heavier emotions, seeking raw intimacy and soul-level honesty. There is deep vulnerability, sometimes secrecy, and trust must be earned.
A Moment of Total Surrender
This is your twelfth house — the place of the unconscious, hidden parts of our psyche, where sorrows and patterns of self-undoing reside. And Venus travels retrograde, beginning her descent into the underworld, into the realm of your unconscious self. This is the descent of Inanna into the underworld, where she is stripped of her adornments and power — a moment of total surrender. This is a time when old wounds and inherited narratives about yourself resurface for reassessment. Where do you not feel worthy of love and acceptance? Do you keep yourself small to avoid criticism or rejection?
These insights colour the New Moon in your eleventh house. You may suddenly see particular relationships in a new light — those that lack balance, honesty, and authenticity. Venus is auditing your values and your desires, and this process may also shift your long-term goals.
The Arrow Turned Inward
Venus’ ruler, Mars, travels through your ninth house in Leo — the place of belief, philosophy, higher learning, and foreign travels. He joins your ruler, Jupiter, and the South Node, who also move through this house. Mars brings vitality and ambition here: a drive to find greater meaning in your life, a thirst for knowledge, an exploration of new horizons. Jupiter’s year-long transit creates an encompassing framework for Mars’ drive — one of experiential expansion and exploration. And the South Node seeks material detachment, to recognise where your desires are driven by egoic urges rather than by integrity, and the joy of creativity and generosity.
Mars squares Venus in your twelfth house, representing a friction between your desire for truth and philosophical ideals, and your complex psychological patterns and attachments.
As the seeds of this New Moon unfold, they will ultimately bring the relational scales of your eleventh house into greater balance. But not before the underworld has had its say — and you have aimed your arrow inward, into the uncharted territory of your own depths.
.
Capricorn: Seeds of Ambition, Reconsidered

The New Moon seeds in your tenth house in Libra, marking a reset in your professional sphere and public actions. Here, the Moon seeks harmony, balance, and diplomacy. But the ruler of this lunation, Venus, travels through Scorpio.
Reassessing Alliances
This is your eleventh house of friends, allies, and professional groups — those who support your aspirations and dreams. Venus moves retrograde, and her outward focus shifts inward: a deep, powerful, strategic reassessment of these alliances. She spurns superficial or fair-weather connections, seeking uncompromising honesty and loyalty.
Empowering Disentanglement
Mars, the ruler of Scorpio, moves through Leo in your eighth house. He squares Venus in an alignment of friction, bringing his eighth-house agenda to bear on your eleventh. Mars brings greater assertiveness and will to the place of karmic bonds, shared resources, debts, and inheritances. He drives Venus to acknowledge where she has compromised her worth or power — to settle debts, and to disentangle herself from toxic relationships or dependency.
Waiting for Clarity
As Venus retraces her steps through the underworld, into complex emotional terrain, the New Moon’s beginnings are coloured by this unfolding social audit. The professional seeds now planted will not gain outward momentum until Venus stations direct in mid-November. By the time she re-enters Scorpio in early December, you will have a clearer picture of your path forward — and of who your true friends and allies are.
As the dust settles, you will be able to actively engage with this new professional chapter — with greater clarity about your worth, your power, and who belongs in your corner.
.
Aquarius: The Horizon Expands

The New Moon seeds new beginnings in your ninth house in Libra. Known as the House of God in traditional astrology, it is the place of belief, philosophy, higher learning, and foreign travels. It is where the Sun rejoices — where the mind expands through knowledge, experience, and wisdom.
The House of God
In Libra, the search for meaning is coloured by a need for justice, relationship, and beauty. A balanced, fair-minded, often idealistic approach is preferred to dogmatic rigour. But Venus, the ruler of this New Moon, travels retrograde through Scorpio in your tenth house. Here, her usual preference for ease, harmony, and pleasure is not easily attained. In the deep, powerful waters of Mars, her desires turn passionate and compulsive. She seeks raw intimacy. Unquestionable loyalty. She moves with strategy, instinct, and sometimes secrecy.
A Professional Audit
In retrograde motion, Venus travels through the underworld, re-examining relational power dynamics and unhealed wounds. Scorpio is your tenth house — the place of career and public standing. Professional relationships now come under deep scrutiny. Toxic relationships, where you have given over your power. Where you deny your truth to keep the peace, or to gain validation.
The Tension Between
Venus is aligned to her ruler, Mars, in a square aspect of tension from your seventh house. In Leo, Mars seeks loyalty, recognition, and integrity — making you more assertive, more willful. This is your house of committed partnerships. Mars may bring friction, or ego-driven conflict, to your romantic or business relationships. This, in turn, presses on your professional life — potentially causing friction, or a shift in your career direction.
The initiations of this New Moon are therefore shaped by the shake-up in your partnerships and career. Venus is focused inward while she travels retrograde. It is a time of review, reassessment, and processing — not a time of making decisions or taking action. The reset in your ninth house may encompass a new and emerging belief system, a new worldview. Academically, it may be the seeds of a new chapter, a change in direction, or a growing desire to explore foreign places.
A Sacred Journey
Venus will retrace her steps back through your tenth house and into your ninth house in Libra on October 25. Use this time to process what surfaces — your sense of self-worth, your deepest desires, your relationship to power. Trust that the way forward will be clearer once Venus stations direct in mid-November. And until then, allow Venus’ sacred journey to bring transformation and healing — to how you relate, to your self-worth, and to your deepest, most authentic desires.
.
Pisces: Power and Intimacy

The New Moon seeds in your eighth house in Libra, signifying a reset in the place of shared resources, karmic entanglements, debt, and inheritance. Its initiation may encompass joint financial arrangements, the division of inheritance, or interdependent relationships. And in Libra, your preferred approach to these matters is with fairness and diplomacy.
Beliefs in Transformation
But this New Moon is ruled by Venus, who travels retrograde through Scorpio. Here, in your ninth house, she must express herself through the deep waters of Mars. Her usual preference for ease and harmony must give way to deeper emotional truths and power dynamics. And as she travels retrograde, she is said to descend into the underworld, turning her focus inward to reprocess old stories, relational patterns, and unhealed wounds. In the ninth house, these will bring transformation to your belief system, your philosophical outlook, your worldview.
Thus, this New Moon is coloured by the deeper emotional revelations that surface. Venus rules how we relate to and love ourselves and others. In Scorpio, we cannot ignore the emotional truths that must be acknowledged. Your relationships and financial arrangements in your eighth house will come under deep scrutiny. The process may be intense — but the outcome will be greater fairness and harmony. A restructuring that will honour your true needs, desires, and values.
Mars Rejoices
And Mars, the ruler of this New Moon, travels through your sixth house, where he rejoices. You will enjoy greater energy and drive to meet your daily obligations and labours. But you must also safeguard your physical health — taking care to manage stress and overwork, and to respond to any signs or symptoms of imbalance. These sixth-house matters must be accommodated as you enter this new lunation, for Mars is square to Venus, creating challenge and friction to her deep emotional revisions.
What Venus Reclaims
When Venus stations direct in mid-November, you will have had time to process and review the relational truths that have surfaced. Allow time for processing. The rewards will be transformative and healing. And as she returns to Scorpio in early December, you will be more integrated, more whole — ready to move forward with greater clarity.
